The Green Growth Toolbox was developed by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission and is a tool that communicates science-based recommendations and case studies about conserving priority wildlife habitats and natural resources through land use planning methods. The toolbox consists of a website, a handbook, GIS data and follow-up technical assistance. The workshop will include information on the economic benefits for our communities, the future of our wildlife, and how to protect natural resources, public access, working farms and forests. Since 2010 we have worked with over 30 North Carolina communities. The GGT has been used in over 50 local plans, ordinances and development designs.
